Purpose of This Consent
This document explains what happens when you connect your Wylde Self account to a clinician's practice through the Platform. By generating or entering a share code, you consent to the data sharing described below. Please read this carefully before connecting.
How the Connection Works
Connecting to a clinician is a patient-initiated process:
- You start it: You generate an 8-character share code in the app and share it with your clinician, or your clinician gives you a code to enter. Either way, the connection only happens with your active participation.
- You control it: Once connected, you can revoke access at any time from the Care Team screen in the app. Revoking access stops all future data sharing immediately.
- It's voluntary: The Wylde Self app works fully without a clinician connection. All wellness features — workouts, nutrition tracking, AI coaching, habit tracking — remain available whether or not you connect with a provider.
What Your Clinician Can See
Data NOT shared with your clinician
The following remain private to you, even when connected:
- AI coach conversations: your chats with the Wylde Self AI coach
- Future vision images: AI-generated visualization images you create
- Personal journal entries: private reflections and notes
- Detailed workout logs: individual exercise sets, reps, and workout history
- Detailed meal logs: individual food entries and meal photos
Data Security
Data shared with your clinician is protected by the same security measures that protect all Wylde Self data:
- Encrypted in transit using TLS
- Stored in a database with Row Level Security (RLS) — your clinician can only access data from patients who have explicitly connected with them
- Access is logged and auditable
- Clinicians authenticate with their own secure accounts
Risks of Electronic Data Transmission
While we implement strong security measures, you should be aware that:
- No electronic data transmission or storage system is 100% secure
- Data transmitted over the internet may be subject to interception, though we use encryption to minimize this risk
- Unauthorized access, while unlikely given our safeguards, cannot be absolutely guaranteed against
- Your clinician's use of the data on their end is subject to their own privacy practices and professional obligations
Revoking Consent
You may revoke your consent and disconnect from your clinician at any time:
- Open the Wylde Self app
- Navigate to the Care Team screen (from your profile)
- Tap "Disconnect" to end the data sharing relationship
When you revoke access:
- Your clinician will no longer receive new data from your account
- Historical data that was previously shared may be retained in your clinician's records in accordance with applicable recordkeeping requirements
- You can reconnect at any time by generating a new share code
Acknowledgment and Agreement
By generating or entering a share code to connect with a clinician, you acknowledge that:
- You have read and understand what data will be shared with your clinician
- You are voluntarily choosing to share your health data
- You understand you can revoke access at any time
- You understand the risks associated with electronic data transmission
- You understand that the app functions fully without a clinician connection
